Facebook user Chris Bono shared images of the boxes and English-language paperwork inserts that came with his vintage 1983 Diakron DK-1, DK-2, and DK-3 figures. Diakron was the Western release of the Diaclone toys from Takara prior to the release of Transformers. DK-1 is the predecessor of Transformers Sunstreaker. DK-2 is the precursor of Transformers Ironhide. DK-3 is the toy that would eventually become Transformers Trailbreaker. The inserted paperwork includes instructions, advertising for another of Takara’s toy lines, Penny Racers, and a customer response card. The inserts have been watermarked by Mr. Bono to discourage counterfeiting of these hard-to-find Diakron documents.
