In-Hand Images of Transformers Legacy Evolution Nemesis Revealed
The Facebook Page TFND (Transformers Never Die) posted 37 images detailing the packaging, modes and details of the upcoming Transformers Legacy Evolution Titan-class Nemesis spacecraft/action figure. The images show many up-close details of the final colors and designs for the toy as well as its packaging.
Translated from Chinese the page had this to say about the Nemesis:
Today, let me introduce another one. It is also a highlight of the year. The Titan-class NEMESIS, the goddess of revenge, has finally made its appearance two years after the Autobots’ flagship Ark was launched.
The completion level of the battleship mode itself is very high, as if it flew directly out of the show. Due to the design constraints, it cannot be directly displayed in its intended form, so a special mechanism has been designed to unfold the vertical wings below to serve as a display platform. The detailing of the bridge is quite impressive, and transparent parts are used for segmentation. The turrets can be individually rotated and disassembled. Additionally, the side wings can be opened as launching ports for the accompanying mini Decepticon fighters. The entrance below the main thruster at the rear of the ship can also be opened, adding to the excitement and imagination during play.
When transformed into robot mode, the Nemesis, like the Ark, is an original design. Compared to the Ark, the robot mode of the Nemesis is relatively slim, with a small torso and large limbs, giving it a somewhat gorilla-like appearance when standing upright. Fortunately, with some minor adjustments, it can still strike a somewhat cool pose. During transformation, there are mechanisms for the head and chest to expand. The arms are long and have double elbow joints, theoretically allowing for good articulation. However, due to the joint positions and interference from parts, the actual articulation is somewhat disappointing. The weapons are formed by detaching the small side wings and large tail wing from the battleship mode. The side wings become small hand axes, while the tail wing becomes a large gun. However, visually, they can only be described as somewhat ordinary. Personally, I think it would have been more impactful if the tail wing were slightly folded. However, the side wings, which look like little flags, are beyond help.
In terms of playability, the Ark can be disassembled to become Mainframe, which offers much more variety in terms of play. However, I believe most people’s focus with this set is on the battleship mode, and its actual performance is quite satisfying. One thing I find regrettable is that it would have been great if there was a mechanism, like the Ark, to open the bridge and allow for playing with mini-figures.
