A report from Candice Santora on Twitter/X states that original Airazor voice actress Pauline Newstone passed away on the 5th of May, 2023. We are saddened by this news and send our condolences to her family and friends.

She had a long voice acting career that started in 1973 with the English dub of of a Soviet animated series about Mowgli from The Jungle Book titled The Adventures Of Mowgli. She also provided voices for Ranma 1/2, Captain N – The Game Master, G. I. Joe, Inuyasha, Monster Rancher, X-Men: Evolution, and Ninjago. One of her most notable roles was as the voice of Frieza from Dragonball Z from 1997 to 2003.

She attended BotCon once in 2006, alongside fellow Beast Wars voice actors Blu Mankuma, Richard Newman, and Scott McNeil.

May she rest in peace knowing that her performances are beloved by fans across the generations.
